First Alert Traffic: Stalled garbage truck near Waikele slowing townbound commute

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A stalled garbage truck near the Waikele exit is slowing the townbound commute Tuesday morning.
Our HNN Sunrise Traffic Reporter says it’s in the shoulder lane but causing a back up between the Waikele exit and Kunia interchange.
Those coming from Waianae should expect about a 60-minute drive time on the H-1.
As an alternate route, drivers could take Farrington Highway and drive through Waipahu to avoid delays.
